Hair Transplant Methods

Broadly categorized there are two standard methods when it comes to hair transplantation.

1)   Method 1 – The Strip Extraction Method, commonly known as FUT

This method requires the removal of a large piece of tissue from the donor area. Once removed, it is surgically repositioned onto a frontal or crown region, depending on each patient’s area of concern and unique needs.

This method leaves the patient with a linear visible scar and greatly decreases the usable donor hair. There is also a drastic reduction in skin elasticity that occurs after each strip procedure. Finally, the strip method or FUT has a long recovery time with unnecessary discomfort for the patients, and a higher risk of post-surgery complications.

FUT has its place based on the patient profile, condition and desired results however has only been used in rare instances since advancements in FUE over the last twenty years.

2) Method 2 – Follicular Unit Extraction, commonly known as FUE

With this method, hair follicles are extracted individually from regions of high density and then scientifically and skilfully placed in regions of low density.

The technique is minimally invasive, leaves no visible scaring, and allows patients to resume their normal lives just days after the procedure.

FUE has evolved massively over the last twenty years, with variations in techniques and tools that have come with advancements in medical science and technology.

The ALVI ARMANI Difference

Why ALVI ARMANI?

Through decades of work within the Hair Transplantation School of Medicine and Surgery, ALVI ARMANI has perfected its own Maximus FUE method, allowing for the extraction of more than 3,500 follicles in a single session with the least amount of discomfort.

When combined with our Vitruvian design approach, the results and density achieved are simply outstanding. We do this, without the use of a scalpel or making channel cuts, and by using instruments and equipment specially designed by us.

Irrespective of the support tools used, be that Neograph, DHI, DTI, Sapphire blades or other, there is simply no other method or technique that can achieve the results that are consistently delivered by our ALVI ARMANI Maximus FUE technique globally.

The Science Behind It All

A follicular unit is a natural grouping of hairs that grow together in the scalp and share the same blood supply. Each follicular unit has from one to four separate individual hairs growing from it.

Our art and science come together with the ability to extract follicular units from regions of high density and then implant them in regions of low density, whilst ensuring a natural, high density result that patients can be proud of.

What’s equally important to lifelong results, is to ensure that the graphs are not damaged during this process. From handling methods, to time outside of the body, we carefully plan every element to ensure no detail is left unchecked during our procedures.

At ALVI ARMANI, our FUE hair transplants are minimally invasive, outpatient procedure. Our procedures have been perfected over the last four decades to lay claim to the best patient results consistently across all patient profiles. We do this while also ensuring that the recovery time is narrowed down to a matter of hours after a procedure. This allows our patients to return to work or daily life within no time following a procedure with us.

Our Vitruvian Method – The Design

The Vitruvian Man translated as “The proportions of the human body according to Vitruvius” is a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci that is accompanied by notes based on the work of the architect Vitruvius.

The drawing depicts a man in two superimposed positions, with his arms and legs apart and inscribed in a circle and square. The drawing is based on the correlations between ideal human proportions and geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the classical orders of architecture.

This image demonstrates the blend of mathematics, science, technology and art during the Renaissance and demonstrates Leonardo’s deep understanding of proportion and symmetry. In addition, this picture represents a cornerstone of Leonardo’s attempts to relate man to nature.

ALVI ARMANI ‘s Vitruvian method focuses on Vitruvian Design, natural hairlines, maximum density and strategic placement. The Vitruvian Method encompasses temple angle closure and Maximus FUE density culminating in undetectable hair transplant results.

The ALVI ARMANI medical team is taught and specialises in these unique artistic approaches inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci.

Our Maximus Technique – The Density

Hair transplants at any ALVI ARMANI clinic globally consistently achieve the highest density in results possible for a patient by utilizing artistic and scientific advances. Together with the Vitruvian technically advanced donor hair extraction method, our Maximus technique allows for super high-density packing to achieve results that are natural looking and thick.

Hair transplant procedures have steadily evolved over the years, both in the Extraction and the Restoration process. ALVI ARMANI has been leading research and development aimed at giving patients the latest technological advancements combined with the best possible results.

The Vitruvian FUE method is a revolutionary hair transplant procedure that innovates on the Extraction side. The Maximum technique focuses on the Restoration side.

Our Extraction Method

Our doctors carefully select the proper quantity and quality of donor hair from the back and sides
of the patient’s head.  They do this by matching the texture of the hair that was lost or thinned.

The follicles are then delicately removed and prepared for the transition. The objective of this part of the procedure is to achieve the successful removal of targeted follicles with the least invasive method possible and with the greatest amount of patient comfort and care.
Removing individual follicles with a microscopic instrument allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally whilst ensuring that the areas regrow as intended. Patients receive greater freedom regarding hair styling choices and a short healing time, allowing them to return to the normal activities of life sooner.

Our Restoration Method

After the extraction process is completed, the follicles are relocated to the area of the scalp that has experienced loss. Typically, the balding areas in need of restoration are the hairline, mid scalp and/or crown.

For this process to be successful, the following elements must be considered:

1) Hairline shape and placement – Ensuring natural and undetectable results
2) Temple angle shape and placement – Maximising on lines of symmetry and proportions
3) Density and angling techniques – Prioritising hair growth directions, density and thickness of results

Many clinics use outdated techniques that result in low density and yield unnaturally designed hair lines, resulting in a detectable outcome. At ALVI ARMANI our core focus is ensuring that our results consistently yield the results that our patients and our clinics want. Via our own proprietary Vitruvian Design restoration process, which duplicates naturally growing hair design, in combination with our Maximus FUE extraction method, we are able to exercise greater control over the selection and placement of appropriate donor hair, with which we can design a totally full and natural looking hairline, transitioning seamlessly into the hair on the top, back and sides.

The results – a restored sense of confidence and a head of hair you can finally be proud.
